Precision Mounted Anamorphic Prisms - AP - APUV
CVI's AP and APUV anamorphic prism pairs reshape the elliptical beam inherently produced by the asymmetric radiation pattern of diode and excimer lasers. The input face of each prism is aligned to near Brewster's angle so an AR coating is not required if the input light is p-polarized or unpolarized.
CVI stocks mounted prism pairs with aspect ratios from 2:1 to 6:1 for one-dimensional (anamorphic) expansion or reduction of any laser beam.
A ¼-20 thread mounting hole is centered on the base.

  • Beam expansion, reduction or reshaping
  • Advise input polarization when ordering to optimize overall transmittance
  • Ideal for UV-NIR diode, excimer and Nd:YAG lasers
  • Damage Threshold: 4 J/cm2, 20 nsec, 20 Hz @ 1064 nm
  • Expansion Ration: 2-3-4-6X
  • Design Wavelength: N-SF11-830 nm/ UV-Grade Fused Silica 351 nm

Dual Wavelength Nd:YAG Beam Expanders - DWBX
Dual wavelength DWBXbeam expanders These dual-wavelength beam expanders have the same focal length at 1064 nm and at 532 or 633 nm. They can collimate Nd:YAG and HeNe beams at the same lens spacing.
DWBX are corrected for spherical aberration at 1064nm and 532/633nm and for coma at 1064nm.
Because they are air-spaced, they can be used in high power Nd:YAG applications.
The coatings are designed to give low reflection losses.
  • Air-spaced design for high energy applications
  • Dual AR coated for Nd:YAG and alignment laser
  • Corrected for spherical aberration and coma
  • Better wavefront quality and achromatization than telescope objectives
  • Galilean design
  • Damage Threshold: 4 J/cm2, 20 nsec, 20 Hz at 1064 nm
  • Expansion Ratio: 3-5-10X
  • Wavelength Range: 1064-532nm/1064-633nm/1064-670nm
